Extracts, infusions, or other types of preparations of medicinal plants have been used since long times for the treatment of various diseases, in what is commonly designated as "folk medicine". In this work, particular emphasis will be given to antimicrobial and wound healing properties of specific plants/compounds in in vitro as well as in vivo animal models. New approaches, including nanotechnology, will be addressed. 继续了解

Based on specific plants it was possible to develop some particular formulations, used in veterinary practice to treat pathologies like habronema and dermatophilosis. Based on the acquired scientific knowledge it was possible to produce products of vegetable origin, with high quality and scientifically proven bioactivity, capable of being incorporated into veterinary products used in field conditions.
