As one kind of important resources, timber plays a significant role in human society development and national economic construction. According to Chinese Forestry Statistical Yearbooks and China's Forestry Development Reports over the years, and some other related data collected from surveys, based on the Input-Output table of China in 2007, researches focused on timber from the angle of object – value show that various industry sectors of national economy have a totally different demand and input of timber. Timber is a kind of key restriction factor for construction industry, paper and paper products industry, which shows the largest direct consumption coefficients. As a result, comprehensive consideration from direct and indirect use of timber should be taken into to the intensity of industry sector’s demand for timber, which provides a reference value of coordinating the use of timber and industry sectors’ development.
