Achievements have been made in China last few years, with the fact that the state enlarges the construction pace of developing irrigation and water conservancy. At the same time, some of the problems are exposing. Based on innovation is the fundamental way to solve the problem of agricultural irrigation, from the needs of irrigation technology and modern agricultural production, a new method of underground irrigation, which crop stalks are used as main material of irrigation pipe, was put forward. This way can effectively use the straw resources, decrease soil bulk density, increase soil porosity, improve the content of soil organic matters, make soil nutrient structure rationalization, and regulate soil water, fertilize, gas, and heat, while providing a lower working pressure irrigation function. Preliminary studies indicate that underground straw irrigation have a significant effect in reducing rural ecological environmental pollution, improving soil fertility, enlarging the volume of soil water. It can be described as a new initiative of the multiple purposes of irrigation, and suggested as a new way for the future irrigation.
