In the information age, the news media have penetrated into every aspect of people's lives, which has increasingly important influences on the environmental information disclosure of listed companies. This paper selects 90 samples of heavily polluting enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen A Stock, empirical tests the impact of media attention on the environmental information disclosure of these companies. We conclude that: media attention have a positive impact on environmental information disclosure of listed companies, the media reports through the involvements of the administrative intervention improve the quality of environmental information disclosure.
