Research Interests:

Dr. Yonghong Liu engaged in discovery of new natural products lead structures with bioactivities; he has focus on the isolation, structural elucidation, and synthesis of biologically-active secondary metabolites from marine invertebrates and their symbionts, to develop anticancer and anti-inflammatory new drugs.

Professional Activities:

Currently, he is working as vice-director of Guangdong Key Laboratory of Marine Materia Medica. He has authored more than 200 peer reviewed articles, edited 9 books and monographs (7 in English), served as editorial board member of Natural Products Research (SCI), and held 17 issued patents.
